How to build muscle

Building muscle is something that all of us should do in our normal workout routine. Not only do strength training exercises help us build muscle mass, but they also help us build bone density, a vital key to remaining strong and on the go as we age. Guys, you can get the ripped body you want, and ladies, you can have that sleek, beautiful physique you have always wanted. All it is going to take is a little dedication, some self discipline, and a good workout routine.

When working out a muscle building program, don’t forget both weight lifting and calisthenics. When weight lifting, start with the empty bar, and learn proper technique before moving on to more weight. And when you are learning calisthenics, remember that pull-ups, push-ups, dips, pistols, and reverse crunches are all a part of a balanced workout routine, so don’t forget about them!

Using free weights can drastically increase your productivity.  Attempt to opt for free weights instead of machines, as these tend to help build muscle better. Always remember to keep your weight lifting safe, efficient, functional, and versatile. It won’t help you to do only one exercise, but also remember that with a single weight, you can do a ton of workouts. Keep it different, mix it up, but yet have a base routine of basic weightlifting that you do several times a week.

Don’t forget your legs! Leg strength is essential if you want to have an overall body building experience. You need to do leg exercises as well as biceps, triceps, and chest exercises, even if they are not as fun! An overall variety of different workout techniques will definitely help you build overall body muscle, as the   targeting of only some muscles is what you really want to avoid.
